Billow was shown in a "Poetry Meets Art" event at Seymour Art Gallery, where poets were invited to the exhibition and asked to respond to the artworks. Two poems were written about my piece.

Our love is like a waterspout
We don't belong But cling Wind and water-strong Our love is like a waterspout We hold to a form Perpetual bond Perpetual storm Suzy Malcolm "Larissa's wonderful free form glass sculptures are colourful and sensual and have inspired me to write poems to her art." |
Aristocratic, defiant, ageing mistress of the Adriatic, elegant still, her imperious look defying the ravages of time and history. Cold as dawn, sharp as glass, rich with privilege she carries in her bones renaissance memories, of palaces and princes. Secreted behind a crumbling facade, enlivened by pink glass, she is vulnerable to the sea that once brought her silk, spices and all the perfumes of Arabia.
Joyce Goodwin "[W]ith my Venetian memory, [I] am transported to a place of pink glass and palaces." |
