I'm very excited to announce that I will be TA-ing for Jeff Holmwood this summer at Red Deer College! Jeff has many years of experience teaching glassblowing at various North American schools. He is an internationally known glassblower of the 'go big or go home' school of thought. He is an energetic artist with great technical ability.
Red Deer College offers a great variety of summer arts courses. I had the good fortune to take a course at RDC in 2007, and it was a fun learning experience. I recommend looking at all their courses, and of course signing up for Jeff's class, "Advanced Glassblowing for Beginners." This course last one week and runs two weeks in a row (6 - 10 Aug, and 13 - 17 Aug).
Jeff will offer special instruction in murrini use, and will provide the murrini for students. It's guaranteed to be a fun getaway to Red Deer in the summer for an immersive glass experience! Please call 403 357 3663 to speak to the registrar at RDC.
