I am excited to present my work at the Leigh Square Community Arts Village with Cheryl Hamilton. Cheryl has made her career in the sculptural Public Art world, but she also draws and paints. She will present her rarely-seen 2D work in this two-artist exhibition.

This poem was written by Joyce Goodwin about my piece, Billow, for the 2014 Poetry Meets Art event at Seymour Art Gallery. Joyce's words: “Larissa Blokhuis with contoured coloured glass has imagined billowing smoke and steam. But I with my Venetian memory am transported to a place of pink glass and palaces."
This poem was written by Suzy Malcolm about my piece, Billow, for the 2014 Poetry Meets Art event at Seymour Art Gallery. Suzy saw a waterspout in my piece, which makes similar shapes to billowing air. Enjoy!

I am happy to be in the Harmony Arts Festival this year. My work will be displayed in the Ferry Building Gallery (1414 Argyle Ave, West Vancouver) and the Top Floor Gallery.
